| About Us
If you are new to Unitarian Universalism, we welcome your
interest. Today's Unitarian Universalism reflects a 400-year-old history
of congregations that have advocated for the role of freedom, reason, and
diversity in religious belief. Some famous Unitarian Universalists have
included Ralph Waldo Emerson and Clara Barton.
The North Unitarian Universalist Congregation is
a sharing, nurturing and caring community that promotes spiritual growth and
development along with intellectual freedom. We provide an atmosphere of
acceptance of one another while seeking to understand ourselves and our
universe. We foster an ethical basis for living and celebrate in life's
diversity. We reaffirm our respect for others, which empowers us to act on
our beliefs to improve our community and relieve social injustice.
Religious Education, which is extremely important to our
congregation, involves both children and adults. We teach our children the
Judeo-Christian tradition, world religions, UU principles, and help them to
develop sensitivity for social justice. Learn more about our Children's Religious
Education program.
We offer adults the pursuit of a lifelong spiritual path.
