Reopening Cleanup Day on Sat. Aug. 28

This coming Saturday August 28 from 9 AM – 4 PM, we will be holding the Reopening Cleanup Day to get both the church and Nielsen House ready for NUUC’s reopening on September 12.  We will need some help this Saturday.

All the spruce-up work to be done will be outside and will include a variety of tasks.  At the church and Nielsen House, we’ll be weeding flower beds, trimming bushes and trees, and weed eating around the buildings.  In addition, at the church, we’ll be trimming the church’s front hedges and replacing the old wood pieces in the church’s front sitting flower garden.  Also, at Nielsen House, we’ll be weed eating along the picket fence, fixing the leaning picket fence, and filling a hole in the front yard.

Please consider helping on this day.  You could work for a few hours, half a day, or more… whatever works best for you.  Any help will be appreciated.  Please note that people will have access to the restroom in the main church building (only one individual or one household at a time allowed in the house).  If you have any questions about this event, please contact Bob Keith (bobkeith@zoho.com), Roger Orwick, or John Rodeheffer of the Building & Grounds Committee.

Note: Per UUA guidance, masks will be required to be worn outside (regardless of vaccination status) anytime children under 12 are anywhere on the property.
