“Thus Do We”

“It matters so much that we can be together in this way,” as Rev. Susan often reminds us at the end of our weekly worship. This Sunday we will consider what is particular, peculiar, and powerful about the way we gather together. As Unitarian Universalists we are shaped by covenants, a special set of promises we make to one another. From our new member welcome, to the weekly recitation of our congregation’s covenant, to the covenant between congregations to affirm and promote our seven principles, the agreements we make through covenant suggest that our promises matter greatly. How does covenant uniquely equip us in our strivings to build a community of hope and love in service to the world? Intern minister Liora Malicdem will lead us in an exploration of this question.
