Join Us for an Equinox Celebration September 22, 7 PM. Starting this month the NUUC Beyond Words Covenant Group  will be offering “Wheel of the Year” celebrations of the Fall Equinox, Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice at the church. The celebrations will be grounded in “Earth-Centered observances/ celebrations” which have been and continue to be observed by many cultures and traditions. We expect to be entirely inclusive so however you define yourself in this regard, i.e. Druid, Wiccan, Pantheist, Native American, Pagan, or simply Tree Hugger and Earth lover, you are welcome. What to expect: we will cast the sacred circle through chant, music, movement; bring tokens of the elements (e.g. fruit, flowers, pine cones, feathers, etc) into the circle, light candles, set intentions, join together to offer up petitions of individuals and the group at large; partake of shared food – then open the circle and bid each other “Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again.”
