Good Earth

These times seem to be filled will so much to do, and many people are experiencing exhaustion, overwhelm, and fatigue. The machine of capitalism relentlessly bombards us with work. Whether we are trying to make ends meet, leave enough for our children to struggle less than we did, secure our daily meal, or some other goal that requires some portion of the wealth of the world, for many this is a challenge. Still others have achieved a comfortable level with means, and perhaps still can’t get no satisfaction. Drawing from the ancient Parable of the Sower, we can find some wisdom that may encourage us to find a place in community that could aid us in building a Good Earth.

Paisha Thomas is today’s Guest Preacher. Paisha Thomas, M.Div. is an artist, activist, and educator based in Central Ohio. She is the founder of Land of the Freed, a non-profit dedicated to Black land back, reparative justice, and Black liberation. Combining an undergraduate background in Human Resources Management with an M.Div., Paisha specializes in learning, development and public speaking. Guided by liberation theology and decolonization, she utilizes creativity, design thinking, and strategic alignment to build.
