The younger children are with us for the first part of worship, and the sixth graders and up for the whole service, as we introduce this month’s theme in worship and religious education, “Wisdom.” Today we focus on the wisdom of the body.
We rightfully admire people of resilience; and yet, a culture wide obsession with myths about resilience can be harmful.
Many people feel that religion asks us to persist through suffering. But often instead, it calls us to stop, pause, and sit for a while in the brokenness.
