A co-creator of both World Autism Awareness Month and the International Autism Puzzle Piece Awareness Symbol, Thomas has served on the board of the Autism Society of America, has consulted for families and schools across the US and Canada, has presented at numerous conferences, and has spoken to the Senate and Congress on disability advocacy, funding, and awareness.
