Martin Luther King Jr. and his words have become so iconic, and used for so many purposes, it is hard to hear them anew or extract them from their frequent misuse. It has always been easier to write Rev. King into a safe narrative than it is to move beyond our own personal comfort zones. In illustration, Rev. Susan will revisit some of her past sermons in honor of Rev. King, and disclose what, given her current place in the anti-racist journey, she would no longer say, and how we can always do better.
