On this Mother’s Day, we look at how Transcendentalism emerged from a debate within Unitarianism about what it takes to appropriately care for and feed the ever growing human soul. We’ll look at the spiritual practices the Transcendentalists engaged in (including walking in nature, keeping journals, contemplation, simple living, and conversation) and why and how the Transcendentalists thought they worked and how we might apply them to our own lives.
