Summer is a perfect time for stories. Today we will hear several different kinds of stories including wisdom tales, a modern parable and even a story from the Bible. These are stories that may help us understand others and ourselves a bit better in uncertain times. Stories that speak to our lives and the world we live in. Stories that challenge us to change.
Our guest preacher today is Rev. Joan VanBecelaere, an NUUC member and retired Unitarian Universalist community minister living in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to retirement, she was the Executive Director of Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio. Rev Joan currently serves on the board of the StoryTellers of Central Ohio and believes that effective story work can help us understand ourselves, one another and change minds and hearts. She lives in Columbus with her spouse, Jerry, and four very rambunctious felines.

The Barn at Stratford is operated by the Delaware County Historical Society. It is located just nine minutes from our church building, just South of Delaware in the community of Stratford. It is immediately north from the junction of routes 315 and 23. The address of the barn is 2690 Stratford Road, Delaware, OH 43015.
While we will miss our beautiful building, the Barn provides a comfortable, historic temporary space that supports all of our regular Sunday morning activities. Please join us! Worship begins at 10:30 AM.
