The Power of the People

After noting how the Stonewall uprising of 1969 ushered in a path forward for the movement for LGBTQ rights, we reflect on James Luther Adams, the UU theologian who might easily be said to be the “Father” of our current understanding of the connections between religion and social justice.  We explore how his theology emerged from his firsthand experiencing watching Hitler come to power in Germany, and his observations about what enabled some religious people to resist Nazism while others did not.  THIS WORSHIP WILL BE ENTIRELY ONLINE.
